Districts divide classifications or divisions into smaller groupings of schools. This is accomplished by separating schools geographically into two to nine districts depending on the number of schools in the classification. The schools within a district will compete with one another to represent their district in the playoffs.
These schools may play each other once a season (football) or twice (round robin) or more to determine a district champion, runner-up as well as 3rd, 4th (etc). These standings determine who qualifies for the playoffs in each team sport. Our Championship Brackets are populated by these standings.
