Athletes should accept and take seriously their responsibility as a role model and as a representative of their school. They need to understand that their attitude, words and behavior has a critical influence on the fans in attendance. Because of this, athletes should continually strive to maintain the standards of good sportsmanship established by the coaches and administration of their school.
